Doelstelling volgens staturen: - het verlenen van hulp op het gebied van het geestelijk en maatschappelijk welzijn van inwoners van de gemeente Amersfoort. - Het vergroten van de zelfredzaamheid van de mensen met een hulpvraag door middel van het bieden van individuele (“hulpmaatjes”) of groepsgewijze sociale- en praktische ondersteuning; - Het bevorderen van de effectiviteit van de hulpverlening door inzet van vrijwilligers; - Het bevorderen van de samenwerking tussen vrijwilligers en professionele hulpverlening; - En voorts al hetgeen in de ruimste zin met één en ander verband houdt, daartoe behoort en/of daartoe bevorderlijk kan zijn.

Het algemeen bestuur is belast met het besturen van de stichting. Het dagelijks bestuur heeft de zorg voor de dagelijkse gang van zaken met betrekking tot het functioneren van de stichting en zorgt voor de uitvoering van de besluiten van het algemeen bestuur. De leden van het bestuur ontvangen geen vergoeding voor hun werkzaamheden. Zij vervullen hun taken onbezoldigd. Eventuele gemaakte kosten voor de uitvoering van hun functie worden vergoed.
